Argotec - no-residue extinguishing.

Argotec fire extinguishing systems are the right solution for protecting high-end systems, sensitive equipment or valuables that could be damaged by the use of other extinguishing agents. These versatile systems use argon (Ar), nitrogen (N2) or carbon dioxide (CO2) as extinguishants.

Argon is a non-toxic inert gas that produces no cooling effect when discharged. Therefore, it is especially suitable for protecting rooms with high traffic or rooms containing electric or electronic equipment.

Nitrogen, a non-toxic, non-cooling gas, is suitable for protecting rooms containing combustible liquids.

Carbon dioxide forms a dense aerosol cloud in the discharge area, which can be directed precisely by means of nozzles. Therefore, it is suitable for protecting free-standing, non-enclosed objects. The evaporation of the extinguishing gas produces an additional cooling effect.

With Argotec fire extinguishing systems, the extinguishing process is initiated automatically by fire detection and control systems, but can also be activated manually. The modular, multi-area Argotec system is quite versatile and can easily be adapted to meet future requirements.

The 300 bar technology has further increased the cost-effectiveness of the extinguishing gases argon and nitrogen used in the Argotec system. The higher filling pressure means that fewer cylinders are required. This also reduces the installation space by 30 percent, in addition to reducing the overall weight, which is reflected in the costs of materials and assembly.

Areas of application:
e.g. computer facilities, telecommunications systems, switch rooms, switch and control systems, turbines, transformers, machinery, magnesium-processing plants, engine test stands, painting and powder-coating cabins.
