Preventive fire protection with our Permatec system

For areas with high impermeability that are not frequented by people, Permatec is the ideal system to prevent fires from the outset.
Fires break out when combustible material, oxygen and ignition energy coincide. It is practically impossible to remove all combustible material or eliminate all sources of ignition. The Permatec system from Minimax therefore eliminates oxygen as a fire factor: in closed rooms, the oxygen concentration of the air is reduced so that fire cannot break out in the first place.
The Permatec system consists of an air separation system and a monitoring and control unit. In the air separation system air is sucked in, compressed and separated via a diaphragm into the components of oxygen, argon and nitrogen.
The reduction of the oxygen concentration from 21 to 15 percent by volume is sufficient in most cases to virtually eliminate the outbreak of fires. This oxygen concentration at sea level corresponds approximately to the oxygen partial pressure at 3000 m above sea level and is therefore not hazardous to the human organism. For areas with a higher fire risk, it is possible to set a lower oxygen content.
Permatec eliminates negative extinguishing factors such as fast changes in temperature, electronic short circuits from extinguishing agents, residue from extinguishing agents and costs resulting from fire.
